First Aid at Work

New Blended Training

Have you always been interested in learning first aid but can’t commit to the contact hours required? First Pass now have a solution which could have you learning vital new skills with less disruption to your schedule. We are now able to offer our First Aid at Work Training as a blended training course. By opting to complete the course in the blended format, you’ll have to undertake fewer contact hours. The contact hours will be supplemented by 1 to 1 online training, to ensure the same high standards are kept. This way, you can fulfill your training obligations whilst spending less time away from the office.

New Legislation

At First Pass Training, we are able to offer this new format through our training partners ProTrainings.EU. The HSE passed legislation allowing this new format back in May 2016. Those completing a Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work would previously have had to complete the entire course in 1 day with a total of 6 contact hours. Now, the option exists to undertake 3 contact hours whilst completing the rest via the online system.

The blended course gives trainees the chance to undertake the theory portion of their first aid course at their own pace. It offers a more convenient option, allowing you to complete the training at a time that suits you. The theory is carried out online with an instructor on a one on one basis, so there is no drop in quality.

Level 3

Level 3 First Aid at Work awards can also be delivered through this method. The traditional course requires you to complete 18 contact hours over 3 days. Now, you can complete the course with just 2 days away from the office and complete the other 6 hours online.

There are huge benefits to choosing a blended course, both for employers and for those undertaking the training. Not only can you work on the theory portion at your own pace but you can also save on travel costs due to the lower number of contact hours. This option is less disruptive to your working schedule whilst still allowing you to complete your training obligations to the highest quality.
